(Countries visited: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam & Cambodia) From the clear cool springs of the Himalayas to the tropical waters of the South China Sea, the Mekong Rive, which in Thai means Mother of Waters, fully lives up to its name. The region has been a bridge between Asia, Australia and the West and during migrations dating back to over 5000 BC, we have always had history in the making here. This is a specially tailored tour itinerary that covers five world heritage sites - a testimony to the rich culture the region offers.

Day 01: Depart Bangkok / Sukhothai
Morning flight from Bangkok to Sukhothai (WHS), the "Rising of Happiness" and the capital of Thailand's first kingdom, dating back to the mid 13th century. Afternoon tour includes visit the famous historical ruins, museums and the surrounding temples. The Kingdom of Sukhothai is viewed as the "Golden Age of Thai Civilization", and the religious art and architecture of the era are considered to be the pinnacle of classical Thai style.
Overnight: Sukhothai Resort, Sukhothai (1 night) (L, D)

Day 02 SukhotBangkokhai / Luang Prabang
Transfer to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang (WHS) to explore the ancient capital of the Lan Xang Kingdom, is famous for its historic temples and beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. Afternoon we visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum.
Overnight: Phousi Hotel, Luang Prabang (2 nights) (B, L, D)

Day 03: Luang Prabang
Day excursion to visit the Pak Ou Caves, located in the steep rock cliff at the confluence of the Mekong River and Ou River. They are full of Buddha images of varying styles, ages and sizes. Afternoon tour includes Wat Xieng Thong built in 1560 and situated on the banks of the Mekong River, it is the most beautiful monastery in Luang Prabang and shows the typical Lao art style with old religious artifacts and some ancient masterpieces of Laos art. Day 04: Luang Prabang / Danang / Hoi An
Morning we are transferred to the airport for the flight to Danang. Upon arrival, we are met and transferred by road to the charming& historic city of Hoi An (WHS). Known to early Western traders as one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century, Hoi An has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tile-roof houses and narrow streets. During a leisurely discovery tour on foot, we will be visiting some of the historic merchant and community houses, places of worship and The Japanese Covered Bridge is the first bridge on this site was constructed in 1593. It was built by the Japanese community of Hoi An to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream. The bridge was provided with a roof so it could be used as a shelter from rain and sun.

Day 05 Hoi An / Hue
Morning depart for Hue (WHS) through Hai Van Pass, which crosses over a spur of the Truong Son Mountain Range that juts into the South China Sea. It is an incredible mountainous stretch of highway with spectacular views. Afternoon tour of Hue includes Tu Duc Tomb, once the Royal Palace of Tu Duc, who ruled Hue more than 100 years ago. There are pavilions in a tranquil setting of forested hills and lakes. The tomb was constructed between 1864 and 1867. Tu Duc, who was the longest reigning Emperor, lived a luxurious life. Cruise on the Huong Giang River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, was a hotbed of anti-government protest during the early 1960s. Behind the main sanctuary of the pagoda is the Austin Scenerymotorcar, which transported the monk Thich Quang Duc to the site of his 1963 self-immolations. Next stop is the old Imperial City, was for a long time the cultural and intellectual center of Vietnam.

Day 06 Hue / Danang / Siem Reap
Drive back to Danang to catch the flight to Siem Reap to experience Angkor Wat (WHS), one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Angkor Wat temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between 1131 and 1150. It was constructed over a period of 30 years and illustrates some of the most beautiful examples of Khmer and Hindu art. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Afternoon we visit Phnom Bakheng for sunset over Angkor.
Overnight: City Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap (2 nights) (B, L, D)

Day 07: Siem Reap
Morning visit includes Angkor Thom. A fortified Royal City (10 square kilometres) built by King Jayavarman VII who ruled from 1181 to 1201. The city has five monumental gates and is encircled by a moat 100 metres wide. In the center of the walled city are the city's most important monuments including Baphuon, Bayon and the Terrace of Elephants. Afternoon enjoy a boat trip on the Tonle Sap Lake. (B, L, D)

Day 08: Siem Reap / Bangkok
Morning transfer back to the airport for the flight back to Bangkok. (B)
