01 Delhi
Late
evening arrive in to Delhi
and check in to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 -
Delhi
After breakfast sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting War Memorial Arch-
India Gate, Parliament House, Qutab Minar – built in 12th century
& Humanyun’s Tomb. Lunch in a restraunt outside the hotel. After lunch
sightseeing tour of old Delhi, visiting the famous Red Fort reputed to be
the most magnificent palace in the world, Jamma Masjid – the second largest
Mosque in the world, Rajghat, where the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi
was cremated & Chandni Chowk the busiest Bazaar of Old Delhi. Dinner
& overnight at your hotel.
Day 03 –
Delhi/Bhubaneswar – by Air
After breakfast leave for Bhubaneswar in time to connect your flight for
Bhubaneswar. On arrival sight seeing tour of Bhubaneswar the capital of
Orissa. The capital of modern Orissa, is known as one
of the ancient temple towns of India. There are still as many as 100
temples, some of which are masterpieces of Hindu architecture and contain
exquisite carvings and sculptures, Rajarani temple, Mukteshwar temple, Parasurameswar
temple and Lingaraja temple ( to be seen from the outside) are the most
important highlights. Evening drive to Puri and overnight at your Hotel
in Puri.
Day
04- Puri – After
breakfast excursion to Sun Temple at Konark Visit the beautiful Sun Temple
built in the 13th Century in honor of the Sun God, containing
exquisite carvings, of life-like lions and Elephants, collosal figures of
Warriors on Horse, Scenes of Battle and the Chase – all carved with great
imagination and skill, testifying to the high standard of ancient Indian
art and engineering skill. The Konark Festival held from Ist to 5th
December every year in the amphitheatre is a most exciting dance events
of the country. The festive nights serve the essential purpose of
highlighting an important facet of India’s composite culture. The
immense backdrop of the Sun Temple looks breathtaking when illuminated in
the evenings. Drive back to Puri. Rest of the day free to relax at the beach
and overnight at your hotel in Puri.
Day
05 – Puri –
After breakfast visit nearby Jagannath Temple. Much revered, and the
destination of countless pilgrims from the length and breadth of the country,
the Jagannath temple in Puri is one of the four most sacred place (Dhams)
of worship for Hindus. Temple is closed for
non –Hindus. After visit to temple leave
for Raghurajpur 14 KMs away an artisans village, back to hotel and rest
of the day free to relax on beach. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day
06 – Puri/ Gopalpur on sea – After
breakfast leave for Gopalpur on Sea about 160 Kms enroute visit Satpada,
which is famous for Dolphins on Chilka Lake. Chilka is India’s biggest inland
lake. Spread over 1,100 square kilometres, is dotted with many emerald
green islands with colourful names such as Honeymoon Island and Breakfast
Island. Chilka is home to rich variety of aquatic fauna. It
is also a sanctuary and winter resort for migratory birds, some coming from
as far as Siberia. Overnight at your Hotel in Gopalpur
Day
07 – Gopalpur on sea-
Day free to relax on beach and overnight in your Hotel.
Day
08 – Gopalpur on Sea – After
breakfast excursion to Taptapani- a pleasant health resort with a hot sulphur
spring having medicinal properties. The water of the spring is channelised
to bath-tubs of the Panthanivas for steam-bath.
Day 09 – Gopalpur/Bhubaneswar –
Leave early morning for Bhubaneswar
enroute stop at Barkul on Chilka. Boat tour to Kalijal, Nalaban and
Birds Island. Overnight at your Hotel in Bhubaneswar.
Day 10 – Bhubaneswar/Delhi –
After breakfast leave for
Delhi by Air and on arrival check in to Hotel . Rest of the day free for
shopping and personal activities.
Day 11 - Delhi/Home – Leave
for Delhi airport in time to connect your flight back home.
