Floating in splendid isolation, east of the Indian mainland is the archipelago
of 572 emerald islands, islets and rocks known as Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
This Union Territory is stretched over an area of more than 700 KMs. From
north to south with 36 inhabited islands. These undulating islands are covered
with dense forests and endless variety of exotic flowers and birds. The topography
of the islands is hilly and abounds in evergreen forests. The sandy beaches
on the edge of meandering coastline are fringed with coconut-palms that sway
to the rhythm of the sea. The sea around the islands offer excellent scope
for water sports. The rare flora and fauna, underwater marine life and corals,
with crystal clear water and mangrove-lined creeks, offer a dream-view of
the rare gifts of nature. The clean and wide roads, free of filth as well
as unpolluted fresh air attract any nature-lover, who seek absolute peaceand
tranquillity in the lap of mother nature. Adventure tourism like trekking,
island camping, snorkelling, scuba diving etc., are the real attractions.

ENTRY FORMALITIES
All foreign nationals can stay in the islands for 30 days. This can be extended
by 15 days with permission. They require a permit to stay, which can easily
be obtained on arrival at Port Blair (either by air or sea) from the immigration
authorities. In addition permits can also be obtained from:
(1) Indian Mission Overseas,
(2) Foreigners Registration Offices at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta.
(3) The immigration authorities at the airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai
and Calcutta.
Indian nationals need no permit to visit Anadmans.
Day 01 : Chennai – Arrive Chennai and
overnight at your Hotel in Chennai.
Day
02 : Chennai/Port Blair – After breakfast leave for Chennai airport
in time to connect Jet Air flight to Port Blair. After completing permit formalities
transfer to your Hotel. Afternoon sight seeing tour of Port Blair visiting
Cellular Jail (National Memorial), Chatham Saw Mill, Gandhi Park, Anthropological
Museum , fisheries Museum, Samudrika (Naval Marine Museum). Cellular Jail,
located at Port Blair, is a mute witness to the tortures meted out to the
freedom fighters. The saga of the heroic freedom struggle is brought alive
in a moving Son-et-Lumiere, shown daily at 7.15 PM. Overnight at Hotel.
Day
03 : Port Blair – Full day excursions to Mahatma Gandhi Marine
National Park- Wandoor (29 Kms. From Port Blair) and Cinque islands.
Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is made up of open sea, creeks and fifteen
small and large islands covering an area of 281.5 sq. Kms. One can see mangrove
forests along the creeks and magnificent tropical forests, fascinating coral
reefs and rare under-water marine life. The Park is the base to visit
islands like Jolly Buoy, red Skin and Cinque famous for exotic marine-life,
rare colourful under-water corals and mangrove creeks. Glass bottom boats
help to take a closer look of the coral colonies, a memorable experience.
Day 04 : Port Blair – After breakfast
half day city tour of Chidiya Tapu (25 Kms. From Port Blair). Generally
known as Bird Island, at the southern most tip of South Andaman, the lush
green mangroves and the beach make it an ideal picnic site. The forest guest
house situated on top of a hillock provide a fabulous view of isolated islands,
submerged corals and breath-taking sunset. Rest of the day free to relax
and overnight at Hotel.

05 : Port Blair – Full day at Andaman water sports complex
This is a unique sports complex in India
in its own kind. There are facilities for safe water sports such a rowing
Boats, Paddle Boats, Kayaks, Aqua-cycle, Aqua-glide, Bumper boats, etc.,
and Adventure water sports such as Water – skiing , Water scooters, Gemini
boats, Para-sailing, sail boats, Wind-surfers, Speed boats, glass-bottom
boats, etc. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 06 : Half Day Tour of Corbyn’s Cove Tourism
Complex – Corbyn’s Cove, 7 Kms., from the town, is the coconut
–palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, surfing and sun –basking. Facilities
like water sports, restaurant and bar, change room, etc., are also available.
Day 07 : Overnight trip to Havelock Island – (
54 kms. From Port Blair).
This Island offers beautiful sandy beaches and lush green forest. Island
camping at Radha Nagar beach is a real exposure to the unpolluted nature
for an environment lover. Connected by boat from Port Blair siz times a
week. Overnight at the Dolphin yatri Niwas.
Day 08 : Havelock Island/Port Blair
– Arrive Port Blair from Havelock Island by boat and overnight at your Hotel.
Day 09 : Port Blair/Chennai
After breakfast leave for airport in time to connect flight to Chennai.
On arrival check in to Hotel. Afternoon city tour of Chennai visiting The
capital of the state of Tamil Nadu and the cultural Gateway to South India,
Chennai is in some respects unlike other Indian cities. The National Art
Gallery, the Museum with some beautiful temple prizes and the finest collection
of South Indian bronzes are quite interesting. St. Mary’s Church, Peoples
Park and the beautiful Marina Beach which is the second longest beach in
the world as well as the clock towers are worth visiting. Overnight at your
Hotel.
Day 10 : Chennai/Home – Leave for Chennai
airport in time to connect flight back home.
