India from North to East

Day 01 – Delhi: - Late Evening arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 – Delhi: - After Breakfast full day city tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi with English speaking guide visiting Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Humanyun’s Tomb, India Gate, Qutab Minar. Over night at Delhi.

Day 03 – Delhi/Guwahati: - Transfer in time to airport to connect your flight to Guwahati. On arrival check in your hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 04 - Guwahati: - After breakfast we visit the “Kamakhya Temple”. The Kamakhya temple is an ancient seat of “Tantric (Black Magic)” faith. Inside the inner sanctum is the image of the “Yoni (Vagina)” of goddess Parvati, the mother of creation. We will visit the Assam State Museum, Nabagraha Temple (temple of Nine Planets), Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra for a glimpse of Assam’s art and culture. In the afternoon we set-off on golden sunset cruise on the river Brahamputra. Over night in hotel.

Day 05 – Guwahati/Shillong: - Early morning we drive to Shillong- the oldest city(alt.1496Mtr.) of the North Eastern India with cool climate and zigzag roads. We check-in at hotel. The day is reserved for local sightseeing. The spots include Ward lake, Hyadari Park, Golf Links, The Shillong peak (Alt.1965 Mtr.), The Elephant, Bishop, Beadon waterfalls etc. Over night in hotel.

Day 06 – Shillong/Cherrapunjee: - After breakfast we will drive to Mawphlang (30min)- site of Khasi Sacred Forest. We go out on a visit to Cherrapunjee, loveliest rural spot of natural beauty and elegance. Situated in the world’s wettest region, Cherrapunjee is a tiny village on the edge of a tremendous gaping canyon. We visit the Nokhalikai waterfall at Cherrapunjee; it is the world’s fourth tallest waterfall. Cherrapunjee is also famous for it’s limestone caves. Over night in hotel.

Day 07 – Cherrapunjee/Kaziranga National Park: - After breakfast we drive to Kaziranga National Park. After about 8 hours drive we arrive at Kaziranga National Park – Home of the great Indian one-horned Rhinoceros. Over night in the jungle lodge.

Day 08 – Kaziranga National Park: - We rise early and drive to the pint where we mount our elephants for an exciting safari through the tall swamp grasslands of Kaziranga, the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros is very easy to see.

Our jeep safari around the park, we are accompanied by a naturalist with birds checklist. Apart from vast numbers of lumbering rhinos, there are large herds of elephants, several species of deer, hollock gibbon, wild buffaloes and even tigers. Over night in jungle lodge.

Day 09 – Kaziranga/Guwahati: - Today we drive back to Guwahati. Rest of the day free. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10 – Departure

Transfer to airport for onward journey. Tour Terminates.
