Nachana Haveli

A heritage hotel located in the heart of Jaisalmer city. Owned and personally run by the present Nachana family, who are the descendants of Maharwal Jaisal (Founder of Jaisalmer).
Family History
In the early 18th century the royal family decided to build Palaces outside the fort and Nachana Haveli was one of them. Nachana Haveli is situated in the heart of the old city, which is the best location in Jaisalmer sharing the walls with the royal palace. The uniqueness of this Haveli lies in the hospitality which the guests experience because of the royal family still residing in the premises and we make sure that each guest who stay at the palace are treated like family. Nachana Haveli is one of the only Palaces in Jaisalmer which is still in its original form with beautiful thirteen rooms which are open to our guest.
The present Nachana Family are the descendants of Maharawal Jaisal (founder of Jaisalmer). Maharaj Kesari Singh ji built the palace in the Year 1718. Designed as a three story building, it is entirely made out of sand stone. A model of the original building is kept in the lobby for display. The present owner Maharaj Kishan Singh ji was the great grandson of Maharaj Kesari Singh ji and his children Princess Divya, Prince Vikram and Prince Kesri converted a part of their Haveli into a Heritage hotel in 1996. Today the sixth generation of Nachana family resides in this Haveli.
