A country as vast as India has influx of millions of tourists. If in North it’s the snow that pulls the crowd, in South it’s the tranquil backwaters soon after the monsoons drawing thousands. In West, the ghats create a breezy affair while the East is abode to drifting clouds.
The price range and the crowd decides the travel seasons. It can be henceforth classified as Peak season, High season, Off Peak season and Low season. Each season has its own merits and demerits but has a huge impact on your visit to India.

Peak Season: November, December and February

With many festivals around the corner (Pushkar Fair, Diwali, Camel Fair, Hornbill Festival, Christmas) and an amazing weather, this season accounts for an ideal time for any tourist to visit India. These festivals bring along higher rates for the tours. Overbooked hotels, waitlisted flights are a common sight. To enjoy the glory of India to the fullest advance booking almost a year prior is the best solution.

High Season: October, January and March

A pleasant weather along with major festivals like Holi , Dussehra and New Years being imminent, many travelers pay visit to India during this season. Prices not as high as that during the peak season, is still comparatively higher than off-peak and low season. For a hassle free journey to India, booking made 6-8 months before is a great quick fix.

Off Peak Season: April, August and September

Time when the tourist crowd has dropped and discounts pop-ups from every service provider, marks the beginning of off peak season. Availability of rooms and reservations aren’t much to be worried about. Bookings 2-3 months prior offers even better deals.

Low Season: May, June and July

Highest discount rates and least crowd in itself is an amazing package. Bagging great offers and staying in luxurious hotel at stunning rates are the perks of this season. For a smooth well planned tour, a month prior booking is well suggested.
