Declared as the tallest minaret in the world, Qutub Minar is truly a sight to behold. The Qutub Minar complex envelopes many flanged and cylindrical shafts in its interior. On the outside it is adorned with fluted columns that are surrounded with the bands of intricate carvings in Kufic style and Islamic calligraphy. You can also see some carvings in bold and cursive writings in Thuluth script. Qutub Minar tour

Constructed with a mix of red sandstone, marble, lime mortar, and rubble masonry, this massive tall tower is a great inspiration for even modern day architects. Declared as the tallest brick minaret in the world, the height of this tower is 72.5 metres and contains almost 379 stairs. Interestingly, while its bottom diameter is 14.32 m, its top diameter is about 2.75 m. It is famously known as the Qutub Complex as well because it envelopes other ancient and medieval structures as well.
