Tour Duration: 16 Nights / 17 Days
Colors soaring up in the sky, men drenched in water with vibrant patches all over the clothes, mouth savoring cuisines, drums rolling and water balloons swinging across is the vivacious festival of color termed Holi. The enigma built around Holi continues throughout our journey where we jaunt through 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. With an enduring rickshaw ride experience through the sprawling streets of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, we head to Amritsar, where a grand retreat ceremony at Indo-Pak border awaits you under thunderous applauds. Cruise over River Ganges as thousands congregate at the banks in the morning to worship Mother Ganga. Trip to India is incomplete without a rail journey. A short train ride to Agra accustoms for knowing India and Indians in a much better way. The much-awaited festival of Holi is celebrated with extreme dynamicity in the rose capital city of Rajasthan- Jaipur. Henna tattooing marks the beginning of festivity followed by a huge bonfire on Holi’s eve, ritual with religious significance. As the jubilant festival comes to end, we are treated with royalty like yesteryears as we climb up to Amer Fort on an elephant back. Relaxation too is well taken care of, as we indulge in a boat ride over Lake Pichola in the city of lakes- Udaipur. Finally, we adjourn our journey in the commercial capital city of India- Mumbai.
